A man tired and resentful of replacing his worn-out sneakers has had his favorite ‘Nike’ sneakers tattooed on his feet as a ‘permanent solution’.

The man’s attempt to save money led him to South African tattoo artist Dean Gunther.

The 34-year-old, owner of tattoo studio DG Tattoo Art, Manchester, previously went viral after inking a realistic six-pack on a man’s stomach.

This time, he drew Nike sneakers on his client’s feet in about ten hours. Gunther took 2 hours to draw the outlines and about 8 hours to color it.

“I wanted to create the illusion that the person is wearing shoes, even if they are barefoot. It will definitely make you look twice. Drawing the tattoo on my free hand was the hardest part. I had to make sure that everything flows with the outline of the body. A stencil wouldn’t work in that case, so it’s all freehand,” Gunther told NeedToKnow.

The tattoo artist said the client was tired of paying for new shoes and decided to get his favorite pair of Nikes tattooed.

Guther shared Nike’s work on TikTok and got over 10,000 views in a short time.

Netizens had mixed reactions to the tattoo.

One user wrote: “Wow good man [to do] both feet.”

“They will last you forever,” wrote another.

Last year, a Colombian influencer got a QR code tattooed on the back of his neck to open his Instagram page. But he soon admitted that the code didn’t work.

Mauricio Gomez, popularly known as La Liendra, had posted a video on February 15, showing how the QR code apparently worked.

While many netizens were stunned by the stunt, others said the tattoo made them feel uncomfortable. One user said, “I don’t like it, it looks weird.”

It was later reported that the QR code didn’t really work.
